Washington Middle School of the Arts
Green Bay, WI
The Green Bay Area Public School District contracted with Frank O. Zeise Construction Co., Inc. to complete the addition and remodel of Washington Middle School. This project was a 3,900 sq. ft. addition and remodeling of 15,006 sq. ft. of existing space. The primary focus of the Washington Middle School of the Arts is to provide students the next step in a pathway to actively participate in a fine arts focused program, expanding opportunities initiated in elementary school and continuing through middle and high school. To complete this goal, the existing auditorium was completely updated including infilling the orchestra pit, a new stage floor, stage curtains and stage lighting, new auditorium flooring and seating, sound panels and a custom control station. A new orchestra/choir room was added with state of the art sound-proofing, and classrooms were renovated into a dance studio and new art room.
