The Town of Gibraltar Fire Department out grew its previous 4,500 square foot metal garage. Zeise Construction was retained for the design and construction of a new fire station that would nearly triple the size of the previous facility.
The key feature of the project is the apparatus garage which features four drive-through bays designed for the rescue equipment to easily enter and exit the building. Additionally, the project includes a turn-out gear area with lockers, a maintenance area with laundry equipment, restrooms with showers, a fire department office, a dispatch office, training rooms and a full kitchen. Although the building was designed for the Fire Department, it is also used as a community meeting place and a disaster/emergency communication center.
This project won an AGC Build Wisconsin Award.
