The Door County YMCA was the first of its kind in the area.  It houses 3 full-sized basketball courts with a balcony running track.  There are weight rooms, aerobic rooms, a daycare, locker rooms and administrative offices.  Features of this facility include curved radius glass block walls and floor to ceiling windows to allow natural light all the way to the center of the building.  The most noteworthy architectural feature is the curved shape of the front of the building and the porte-cochère (canopy). The top of the porte-cochère was also designed as additional usable space by incorporating an outdoor patio area.

This project won a Golden Trowel Award from the International Masonry Institute.
